Finding your network machine name in Windows Settings

1. Type 'name' into the Windows search bar, then select the View your PC name settings.
     

2. Locate your network machine name on the Device name line (e.g. "Tech-Laptop").
     



Finding your network machine name from the Windows lock screen

1. At the Windows lock screen, type the characters .\ into the Username box.
     

2. Locate your network machine name under the password bar, preceded by 'Sign in to:' (e.g. "Tech-Laptop").
